Meet Ana Marín Buchanan: Real Estate, Art and Family
Ana Marín Buchanan is the driving force behind RMB Spain and part of the NICLA RMB team, blending real estate know how with creativity and a very real, very grounded family life. With a Spanish father, an English Scottish mother, and a childhood spent in Devon from the age of five, she has always moved between cultures—something that now helps her connect easily with both international and Spanish clients.
Roots in Art and a Return to Spain
After finishing her Fine Art degree, Ana knew she wanted to come back home to Spain. Local exhibitions followed, but so did the reality of needing a more stable income. A position in real estate in Almería (with family roots just over the border in Murcia) arrived at exactly the right moment, opening a path that allowed her to stay creative while building a long term career. Over the years, she has used her artistic eye in many ways: from car graphics and branding concepts to re designing the Mojácar office and, more recently, the NICLA RMB frontage in Vera Playa.
A Mum First, an Agent Who Goes Beyond
Ana describes herself as a real estate agent and a mum of two amazing kids, and the order matters. Her children keep her grounded through the inevitable highs and lows of the job. Friends and clients often say, “Your kids do you proud,” and ask how she manages them alongside such an intense workload. The honest answer: a supportive husband who can now help more, the occasional glass of vino ;) and a constant focus on giving her children the best future possible.
Finding “The One” with Each Client
What keeps Ana passionate about property is that moment when a buyer finds “the one”. She loves watching clients start to re design spaces in their minds, imagining how to make a house truly their own. Being invited into that process, offering ideas, sharing knowledge, and helping them move from dream to reality, is a key source of job satisfaction. For Ana, every transaction is a story, and she is proud to accompany her clients for part of that journey.
